Holland Park Eyecare is an independent, owner-operated optometry practice at Shop 1/970 Logan Road, Holland Park West — built on the foundation of a clinic that has looked after this part of Brisbane for more than 30 years.
Our story
A practice has served this stretch of Logan Road for over three decades. When optometrist Anthony Than took over the business, he made a simple commitment: honour that legacy, and bring a fresh, patient-centred approach to eye care in Holland Park.
That approach shapes everything about how we work. Appointments run 45 to 60 minutes instead of the standard 15, so there is time to test thoroughly, explain results in plain language, and answer questions without any rush. Our fees are published openly, children under 18 are bulk billed, and we chose Rodenstock — German lens makers since 1877 — as our exclusive lens partner because the lens is the most important part of your glasses.
We would rather do one thing brilliantly than many things adequately.

The people behind the practice
Anthony Than
Anthony is the Director and Optometrist at Holland Park Eyecare. He graduated from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Vision Science and a Master of Optometry, is therapeutically endorsed, and has been practising since 2020.
Anthony believes great eye care is about more than sharp vision — it’s about understanding each patient’s lifestyle, concerns and long-term eye health. He takes the time to explain what he finds, discuss options clearly, and make sure every patient leaves with a thorough understanding of their eyes.
Nhan Nguyen
As our Practice Manager, Nhan is the first point of contact for patients at Holland Park Eyecare. He is dedicated to ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience from the moment you walk through our doors or call to book an appointment.
With a background in healthcare and business management, Nhan oversees the clinic’s daily operations while providing expert assistance in optical dispensing — helping patients select the perfect frames and lens technology to suit their lifestyles.
